                                                      Historical  Malegaon Ground Fort

Malegaon Fort, located on the banks of the Mausam River in Nashik district, is a historic 18th-century structure built around 1740 by Naro Shankar Raje Bahadur, a Peshwa general. Known for its 60-ft walls, 9 bastions, and a surrounding moat, it serves as a testament to Maratha military architecture. Today, the ruins are a significant, albeit poorly maintained, historical site.
